Moovit Hires Guy Kronenthal as SVP R&D

Industry veteran joins Moovit as the company boosts its consumer app capabilities and enhances its White Label App features

Moovit, creator behind the popular urban mobility app and a leading Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solutions provider, is announcing the hire of tech industry veteran Guy Kronenthal as Senior Vice President of Research and Development. 

With more than 25 years of leading development of market leading tech products for global corporations and startups alike, Kronenthal joins the Moovit executive staff to lead the R&D department of 140+ members spanning seven teams. The timing comes as the company intensifies focus and development on new features and capabilities for the Moovit consumer app, as well its MaaS products offering which includes the Moovit’s White Label App. 

Kronenthal joins Moovit from SAP, a next-generation CRM platform, where he was General Manager and head of Product and Engineering of Customer Data Solutions for the last four years.. He was responsible for leading SaaS solutions that managed billions of customer profiles for some of the largest B2C and B2B enterprises. Earlier, he was Senior Vice President of Research and Development at Gigya before the company was acquired by SAP in 2017 and rebranded as Customer Data Solutions. Prior to that, Kronenthal was Vice President of Research and Development at Flash Networks which acquired Mobixell Networks where Guy served as VP of R&D and Product since he joined the company in 2013.  

A cum laude graduate of Tel Aviv University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Computer Science, Kronenthal has held various directorial and managerial positions in various technological industries throughout the rest of his career, led hundreds  of engineers, and worked with teams across several continents.

Kronenthal joins as the company is honing its consumer app capabilities and tapping advanced technologies to make public transit more accessible, sustainable and accessible to millions more users with new innovative features.
