As CEO, Nir Bezalel guides the Moovit team on its mission to simplify urban mobility around the world, making it more efficient, accessible and sustainable. Joining Moovit from its inception in 2012, Bezalel was brought on board as VP R&D to oversee the company’s engineering innovations. Over the years, Bezalel’s guidance has enabled Moovit to provide cutting edge performance and stability in over 3,500 cities across 112 countries where Moovit operates. Under his leadership, the original team of six developers grew to over 150 members, honing in on developing Moovit’s consumer products and features that have been deployed to over 1 billion users around the world. In 2020, Bezalel was promoted to CTO and Business Strategy. His achievements, extensive knowledge and deep understanding of Moovit empowered him to step into the role of CEO in 2024. Prior to Moovit, Bezalel held several key roles in technology companies including R&D Director at Nova Measuring Instruments, VP R&D at Optimal Test for six years. Bezalel holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Ben Gurion University, as well as Master of Science from Tel Aviv University.
Nir Erez is Co-Founder and President of Moovit. Erez believes that data companies will become the operating system — the brains and heart — of smart cities. Erez co-founded Moovit with Roy Bick and Yaron Evron in 2012 with the goal of simplifying urban mobility around the world. He served as Moovit’s CEO from the company’s founding until he stepped into the role of President in 2024. Under Erez’s leadership, Moovit grew quickly with four rounds of funding totaling $133 million, was acquired by Intel in 2020 to join forces with Mobileye, and became part of Mobileye in 2022. Along the way, Erez has become a thought leader with opinion pieces and interviews published in Fast Company, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and U.S. News and World Report, among others. Erez is a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience leading technology startups. Prior to Moovit, Erez was also the founder and CEO of both ActionBase and Optimal Plus. Erez is also co-owner and co-founder of Eyron Group which invests in early-stage software companies. Erez graduated from the IDF computer academy (Mamram) and holds a BSc degree in Physics. In 1994 Erez graduated from Bar-Ilan University with a degree in Physics.
Gil Balog is Moovit’s Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Moovit’s MaaS Business Unit. In addition to ensuring Moovit’s operational efficiency, Balog is responsible for all commercial activities of Moovit’s B2B products and solutions. Balog joined Moovit in 2020 and previously held the role of VP International Sales. Prior to that, he was VP Delivery and Customer Success. With 25 years of experience under his belt, Balog has held several executive and managerial positions throughout his career in various industries including medical devices and semiconductors. Before Moovit, Balog was the General Manager of Motus GI Holdings, Director of Operations and Engineering at EndoChoice, Director of Product Management at Given Imaging and VP, Product and Test Engineering at OptimalTest. Balog holds a B.Sc. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Ben Gurion University.
Anan Kenig is Moovit’s Chief Technology Officer. In addition to overseeing Moovit’s technological stack, Kenig also oversees an innovation team responsible for defining Moovit’s short-term, mid-term and long-term technology roadmap and vision. Kenig joined Moovit in 2012 as one of its first employees. He took on the role of Moovit servers’ first developer and went on to become Chief Architect. Throughout the years, Kenig assumed key roles in defining, designing, advancing, redefining and redesigning Moovit’s cloud infrastructure and technology stack to enable Moovit to become the leader it is today. Throughout his 25 year career, Kenig has held key technical leadership roles at startups, primarily in the Enterprise and Semiconductor industries, where he led the product journey from ideation to fully scalable production deployment. Kenig is also an Israeli poet, and has published four books.
Guy Kronenthal is Senior Vice President of Research and Development at Moovit. With more than 25 years of leading development of market leading tech products for global corporations and startups alike, Kronenthal joins the Moovit executive staff to lead the R&D department of 140+ members spanning seven teams. Kronenthal has held various directorial and managerial positions in various technological industries throughout the rest of his career, led dozens of engineers, and worked with teams across several continents. Kronenthal joins Moovit from SAP, a next-generation CRM platform, where he was General Manager of customer Data Solutions from 2020. He was responsible for leading SaaS solutions that managed billions of customer profiles for some of the largest B2C and B2B enterprises. Earlier, he was SVP of R&D at Gigya for four years before the company was acquired by SAP. Prior to that, Kronenthal was VP of R&D at Flash Networks (previously known as Mobixell Networks before it was acquired), a leading monetization solutions company for mobile investment, where he began working in 2013. Kronenthal is a cum laude graduate of Tel Aviv University, with a BSc degree in Physics and Computer Science.
Ziv Kabaretti is Vice President of Product at Moovit, responsible for product management of Moovit’s iOS, Android and Web app, as well as the products that Moovit licenses to cities and transit agencies. Kabaretti joined Moovit in 2019 and brings more than 20 years of product experience at global consumer tech brands to his role. Prior to Moovit, Kabaretti was Chief Product Officer at Worthy.com, an online marketplace for pre-owned luxury goods. Before that, he was Vice President of Product for Collective Digital Studio, and Metacafe, the online video content aggregation site where he worked as Director of Product Management. Kabaretti started his career as a software engineer and grew into R&D and product architecture roles, including at Mercury Interactive, which was acquired by HP in 2006. Kabaretti received his BSc. in Computer Science from Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology.
As VP Business Development, Tomer Asheroff oversees Moovit’s global business development initiatives, driving strategic partnerships, and fostering growth opportunities for the company. With over 16 years of expertise in operational leadership, Asheroff plays a pivotal role in propelling Moovit’s growth and innovation in the realm of urban mobility solutions. Prior to his position, Asheroff held key responsibilities as VP of Business and Data Operations, where he led Moovit’s Global Data Integrations and Operations, the Mooviter Community, Support Teams, Affiliation Partners, and Moovit Direct Ads services, contributing significantly to the integration and curation of data into the world’s largest transit database. Before joining Moovit, Asheroff served with distinction in the Israeli Air Force as a pilot and commanding officer. Asheroff earned an MBA and a B.A. in Information Systems and Aviation Science from Ben Gurion University.
Maya Kalish is the Vice President of Human Resources at Moovit, leading the HR organization at Moovit since she joined, seven years ago during which she has been a driving force behind the company’s substantial growth. During her tenure, Kalish has been instrumental in shaping the company’s HR strategy, fostering a dynamic and inclusive workplace culture, and enabling the company to attract, develop, and retain top talent. With 18 years of experience in the hi tech industry, Kalish has navigated the unique challenges and opportunities in this fast paced sector. Before joining Moovit, she held various global HR positions in several leading hi tech companies including Voyager Labs, Mellanox, Microsoft and Nice Systems. Kalish’s academic background includes a BA in Philosophy and Management from Tel Aviv University and MBA from Ben Gurion University
Brosh Sikso is VP Engineering at Moovit, overseeing optimization of Moovit’s efficiency, reliability, and scalability in order to deliver a seamless mobility experience for users and Moovit’s customers. Sikso guides the Backend group, including Server Teams such as Infra, Schedules, Ticketing, Payments, Loading, External Customers, and the Automation team. With a strong background in Java development and cloud infrastructure, Sikso has driven significant advancements in backend architecture and automation processes. Known for integrating innovative tools and engaging in long-term solution planning, including high-traffic handling, Sikso excels in balancing technical depth with customer-focused transparency. When Moovit was founded in 2012, Sikso joined as a Software Developer. He took on the role as Server Team Lead in 2017, and Head of Server Group in 2021 before stepping into his current role of VP Engineering. Sikso holds a B.A. in Computer Science and Economics and MBA from the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yafo.
Oren Nakdimon has managed the database development at Moovit since its inception in 2012 and currently serves as Moovit’s Vice President of Database. Nakdimon has over 30 years of extensive experience with database-based systems development. He has held key roles within R&D organizations, with his previous role as VP R&D and Israel Site Manager for Customer Experience Management solutions platform, Olista. Nakdimon is an Oracle ACE Director (the highest rank in Oracle’s recognition program), a globally recognized database expert, and an award winning speaker. He contributes to the worldwide database community (under the nickname “DB Oriented”) and regularly presents at international conferences such as Oracle CloudWorld, Kscope, and many User Groups’ technical conventions. He holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics from Tel Aviv University.
Mayan Leibovich joined Moovit in 2018 and serves as Director, Legal at Moovit. She brings her extensive legal expertise in technology transactions, commercial contracts, software licensing, privacy and data protection compliance and management matters, and provides business-oriented and practical legal solutions to Moovit’s innovation advances. Prior to Moovit, Leibovich was Associate Legal Counsel at Mobileye, global leader in the development of vision technology for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving, and previously an associate at, one of Israel’s leading law firms, focusing her practice on transactional intellectual property, internet law, information technology, copyright and US-IL litigation. Leibovich was admitted to the Israel Bar Association in 2013 and to the New York State Bar Association in 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel.
Nir Rub is Director, Finance at Moovit. Rub joined Moovit in 2018 and brings his extensive and broad financial management and strategic planning experience at technology companies. He is responsible for overseeing the Finance department, ensuring fiscal responsibility, preparing financial reports, budget planning, and more. Rub also has experience with mergers and acquisitions, including Moovit’s acquisition by Intel in 2020 and Mobileye’s 2022 IPO, as well as post-acquisition business integration and audit. Rub’s expertise spans budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, financial analysis, and risk management. Prior to his tenure at Moovit, he served as a controller at MyThings for five years and worked as CPA at KPMG for three years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the College of Management and received his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from Bar Ilan University.
