Moovit, a leading Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solutions provider and creator of the global urban mobility app with over 1.7 billion users, announced the launch of “Cross Region Journey Planning”, a feature that facilitates public transportation ridership between Regions throughout the entire United Kingdom.

The Moovit App’s Journey Planner guides a transport rider anywhere in and around a Region with a three-step process:

• Search for any location
• Choose the desired route from among multiple options
• Get step-by-step directions for the selected route to the destination

Cross Region extensively elevates journey planning to allow for inter region travel guidance – enabling the rider to search for, and select, routes between metropolitan areas that are located in different Regions across the United Kingdom.

As an example, Moovit users can now seamlessly plan a journey from Liverpool Street Station in London (in the UK’s South East Region) to Oxford Road in Manchester (in the UK’s North West Region).

Following the successful implementation and adoption of Cross Region Journey Planning in the UK – as well as Spain and France – Moovit will expand Region-to-Region journey planning to additional European countries, as well as many more globally from among the 112 countries that Moovit supports.

Also available is the Moovit+ subscription option, which removes ads from the Moovit App and provides access to exclusive features such as SafeRide, Line Tracker, Way Finder, Compare Routes, and Arrival Updates.
