Wolves partner with mobility solutions leader Moovit

Wolves have partnered with one of the world’s leading urban mobility apps Moovit to improve travel safety and information available to fans heading to all home and away matches.

United Kingdom – October 2021

As the first football club in the UK to provide supporters with real-time arrival information for every match, Wolves has welcomed mobility solutions provider Moovit into the pack as the club’s official mobility partner, helping fans arrive at games at Molineux and every stadium where Wolves play across Europe.

Via the free Moovit app, the Wolves website and the Wolves App, supporters can receive detailed public transport information on how to reach the game and can be guided to dedicated entrances and fan areas, to ensure they have the most up-to-date and accurate journey planning capabilities straight at their fingertips.

As part of the collaboration, Moovit has created a co-branded multi-modal web app, available on wolves.co.uk and the Wolves App – by clicking on the ‘Travel safely with the pack’ link in the app menu – allowing anyone to easily plan their journey, from their front door to specific stadium entrances.

Fans can use the journey planner to find all transport updates and any service changes to ensure they have the most direct route and never miss kick-off.

Supporters can also use the Moovit app, which guides people in getting around cities effectively and conveniently using any mode of transport. Moovit combines official public transport information with crowdsourced information to calculate the best route for each journey with additional urban mobility options, including bus, rail, bikes, scooters or Uber.

Wolves and Moovit are committed to the fan experience, ensuring that anyone can enjoy a football match and making mobility accessible to all, with the Moovit app including accessible features, such as optimised screen reading for low vision users, TalkBack/VoiceOver capabilities, and wheelchair-accessible routes and stations, as well as optimised menus and buttons for those with hand-motor disabilities.

Luke Redfern, Moovit’s partnership manager in the UK and Ireland, said: “We are proud to partner with Wolverhampton Wanderers to help them reach their goal of ensuring that their fans can travel safely with precise public transport information at their fingertips.

“We’re also excited about how the long-term impacts of this partnership will improve the fan experience, which begins from the moment they leave their house. We want to ensure that fans have the best experience travelling to and from the stadium so they never miss a moment of the game.”

Moovit, which is available in 45 languages, has become the official urban mobility app for more than 100 cities and global events, including the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, and also partners with Italian Serie A clubs AS Roma and Inter Milan.

Moovit can be downloaded on the App Store and Google Play.
