Metro de Lisboa’s official data, coupled with crowdsourced information, will offer riders more efficient journeys when using the Moovit app
Thanks to a partnership between Metropolitano de Lisboa and Moovit, riders of the Lisbon metro system now have access to real-time arrival information allowing riders to enjoy shortened wait times and optimized mobility services in the Portuguese capital.
Metro de Lisboa customers can enjoy simplified and improved travel experiences via the Moovit app, available on iOS and Android, as well as through the Metro de Lisboa website, due to a web journey planning solution developed by the two companies.
Moovit is combining official data from Metro de Lisboa’s four lines with crowdsourced information to calculate the best routes to get from A to B. As a multimodal application, Moovit combines information from the Lisbon metro with other urban mobility options in the region such as bus, tram, boat, train, light rail, ferry and even e-scooters.
Metro de Lisboa is also utilizing Moovit’s customer communication tools to alert Moovit users of relevant service changes.
