Moovit Spotlights at 2019 Microsoft Inspire

Published: July 23, 2019

Microsoft Inspire is the largest annual cross-border annual event for the Microsoft partners community. And, this year, between July 14th -18th, tens of thousands of partners and Microsoft employees — from more than 130 countries — came together in Las Vegas, Nevada, to connect, collaborate, and celebrate as one community. For Moovit, it was an event to remember. Moovit was in its essence, meeting with key personnel and engaging in important industry conversations, including the tremendous growth opportunities of the continued digital transformation.

It began with the Corenote where thousands of Microsoft partners & employees filled the T-Mobile Arena for a Corenote presentation as Gavriella Schuster, Corporate Vice President One Commercial Partner Channel Chief & Judson Althoff, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Commercial Business, welcomed everyone to Microsoft Inspire 2019. Following the introduction, Althoff drilled down to the specifics, presenting Microsoft’s 2020 goals, product roadmap and highlighted a small number of partners around the world. We are proud to say that Moovit was one of them! We were highlighted via Juanjo’s story — a Moovit user from Barcelona that works as a Microsoft developer & is a person who is blind. The moment captured Moovit’s commitment to accessibility and inclusiveness.

This was the launchpad for a successful event. Throughout the event, in addition to the important conversation, Moovit had a 15-minute partner showcase and three speaking slots discussing MaaS; industry tracks included Automotive, Smart Cities as well as Travel & Transport.

Microsoft Inspire highlights further include:

  • A Moovit-inspired industry scenario in the Microsoft Industry Experience booth in which we illustrated how a transport agency can use innovative digital solutions, from Microsoft and its partners, showcasing our Transport-On-Demand & consumer app, zooming in on the accessibility features for blind users.
  • Chief Growth & Marketing Officer, Yovav “Jay” Meydad’s presentations of key MaaS insights, particularly how it can be transformative to the way cities manage mobility & deal with the challenges of congestion, pollution, safety & more — within the realms of Automotive, Travel & Transport. The presentations were entitled,“There’s a new industry in town: Travel, transportation, and hospitality” & “Intelligent solutions for smart mobility and connected vehicle services.”
  • VP International Sales, Alon Shantzer’s MaaS-focused discussion on Partnering with Microsoft for Smart Cities.
