We’re proud to announce that we’ve completely redesigned and reimagined Moovit 5.0, from scratch, based on deep research & conversations with millions of riders across the globe.

Moovit 5.0 is more than a dazzling face lift. We restructured the the entire app around the key needs you have at different times when riding public transportation to make it even easier for you to get the information you need:

1. I need to go somewhere

2. I need to know when the next lines arrive at nearby stations

3. I need info on a specific line

I need to go somewhere

The new Moovit 5.0 design starts with the Directions Tab. You’ll immediately notice the weather info (so you know if you need an umbrella or sunscreen) and the beautiful local photography. Here you can search for any Point of Interest (like the new restaurant you’re trying for date night) and addresses, in case you’re visiting San Francisco and want to visit us at 600 California St.

You will also see your Favorite Locations, and get directions with a single tap. Below your Favorites, you’ll see Recent Trips, handy for places you need to go a couple times but don’t need to add as Favorites.

I need to know when the next lines arrive at nearby stations

In the Stations Tab, you’ll find a map and listing of nearby stations & active lines, complete with Real-Time Arrival info so you’ll know whether you have time to stop for a quick soda while walking to the stop. Tap any station to get the full list of active and non-active lines.

For subway and train stations, Moovit 5.0 has special screens that give you all the crucial info you need at a glance, because the seconds you save using Moovit can make the difference when trying to catch the train.

I need info on a specific line

We’ve consolidated all the info you need for a smooth journey on a specific line into a single tab. Just like checking traffic before you drive, or checking a weather forecast before heading out the door, it’s super simple to check the status of the line you ride regularly each day.

Search for a specific line or scroll through a list of local lines to find schedules and Alerts for your line. When you add Favorite Lines, simply tap Favorites to instantly see Real Time arrival info so you don’t have to leave the house any earlier than necessary.
